Pot lights, fixtures, under-cabinet and exterior. Planned on paper before we cut a single hole in your ceiling, because that hole is permanent.

Most disappointing lighting jobs are not disappointing because of the fixtures. They are disappointing because the layout was decided by where the joists happened to be. Pot lights too far apart leave scallops and dark corners. Too close and a living room feels like a retail floor. It is worth twenty minutes of planning before anybody gets on a ladder.
We lay the run out first, account for the joists and any mechanical in the way, and show you the spacing before cutting. That covers interior, under-cabinet and exterior work, along with straight LED retrofits where old fixtures are eating power and giving back poor light. Switching and dimming get planned at the same time, because a good layout on bad switching still feels wrong.
Excellent service and fair price. Fit my small job into his busy schedule when everyone else was at least 2 weeks out. Explained everything and was super thorough. Will be my goto from now on.
His communication was great, bill was not a surprise, everything was done to code and done well. It is great that he is local to the calmar area.
It depends on ceiling height, room size and how the space gets used. A kitchen needs more and tighter spacing than a bedroom. Rather than guess, we lay the run out and mark the ceiling so you can see the spacing before anything is cut.
In most cases yes. Working from below through the fixture openings is normal practice, though joist direction, insulation and any mechanical in the ceiling all affect what is realistic. We check the ceiling cavity before quoting so there are no surprises.
Usually, on two counts. Running cost drops noticeably on fixtures that are on for hours a day, and modern LED colour rendering is far better than early versions. The bigger gain in most homes is light quality rather than the power bill alone.
Yes. Workmanship is guaranteed for two years. Hardware usually carries its own manufacturer warranty on the part itself, but the labour to remove and replace a faulty component is charged separately. We tell you which applies before the work goes ahead.
